Creating Dynamic (AVI) Recordings

The dotPocket allows for recording video output from handheld computers in AVI format. In order to use this functionality, either select
File > Start AVI Recording, or click the “Start AVI Recording” button on the dotPocket Desktop toolbar.

In order to stop recording, either select File > Stop AVI Recording, or click the “Stop AVI Recording” button on the dotPocket Desktop toolbar.

Mouse Cursor in AVI

The dotPocket allows for additional functionality when recording video output from the Pocket PC: displaying mouse cursor in AVI file.

Follow the steps below to record video output with the mouse cursor displayed in AVI file.

1. Turn on Full Palette option on the View menu. (Mouse cursor in AVI functionality is available only if the Full Palette option is turned on.)

   

2. Turn on the Mouse cursor in AVI option on the File menu.

   

3. After you have turned on these options, all AVI recordings will contain the view of mouse cursor movement.
