Desktop Video Output Rotation

Some applications developed for Pocket PCs require portrait rather than landscape orientation of the handheld computer’s screen. Given this, the dotPocket Desktop allows you to dynamically rotate the video output on your desktop/laptop computer’s monitor in 90 degree increments to the left or right. Examples of this Desktop screen rotation in both the “Driver Integrated” and “Direct Video Access” screen capturing modes are found below. |
Tip: All image examples were made using Landscape 480 x 360 Pocket PC screen resolution.
Driver Integrated Screen Capturing Mode
Specify "Driver Integrated" screen capturing mode in "Connection Properties":
After reconnecting you will see the application window on the dotPocket Desktop:
Select Rotate Clockwise option on the View menu:
or click Rotate Clockwise button:

The screen of your Pocket PC will be rotated clockwise on the dotPocket Desktop:
Direct Video Memory Access Screen Capturing Mode
Specify "Direct Video Memory Access" screen capturing mode in "Connection Properties":
After reconnecting you will see the application window on the dotPocket Desktop:
Click Rotate Clockwise button: .
The screen of your Pocket PC will not be rotated clockwise on the dotPocket Desktop:
