Tray Icon

The dotPocket allows for displaying the application icon in the system tray.

1. Select Properties on the File menu.

   

2. Properties window will be displayed. Mark Use tray checkbox and click OK.

   

3. After the program reconnects, the dotPocket icon will appear in the system tray.

   

4. If you right-click the dotPocket tray icon, the following menu will be displayed.

   

   Help: activates the dotPocket help.
   Minimize to tray: closes the dotPocket window; only application icon will be displayed in the system tray. (This option is disabled when the dotPocket window is closed.)
   Restore: restores the dotPocket window. (This option is disabled when the dotPocket window is displayed.)
   Exit: exits the dotPocket application.
   

Note: If “Start dotPocket and connect to Pocket PC when ActiveSync connects” option and “Use tray” option are both checked (“Connection Properties” window), then ActiveSync will automatically launch the dotPocket Desktop application, and the dotPocket icon will be automatically displayed in the system tray, whenever ActiveSync establishes a connection with your Pocket PC.
